Alien Mints or Hybrid is a strain that typically contains THC levels between 24% – 28% (Elite phenotypes can exceed 30%) and CBD levels ranging from < 1%. Known for its Minty, Creamy, Gassy, Vanilla/Cherry undertones profile, this strain has a growth expectation of being Medium (3–4 ft indoors; can stretch 1.5–2x after flip) in height, with a nutrient demand that is Moderate to Heavy; specifically high demand for Cal-Mag.

This Hybrid is of the Genetype: Alien Cookies x Kush Mints (sometimes Alien OG x Kush Mints). The Alien Mints strain has 3 phases of the growing cycle.

The first phase is the Seedling Phase. Once you have decided to grow Alien Mints in either soil or hydroponiclay, the ph levels need to be monitored. The ph level desired by Hybrid is 6.0 – 6.5 and 5.5 – 6.0 hydroponically. During this infancy stage, Alien Mints needs to maintain a target temperature of 75°F – 80°F (24°C – 27°C) for 2 to 3 weeks. Once the seed germinates, it will sprout it's first set of round leaves, or the cotyledons. If you are able to maintain the target humidity of 60% – 70%, the iconic serrated leaves will just begin to show themselves. During this critical Phase 1 of the Hybrid growing cycle the plant is establishing a strong root sytem. Beginners often over water these fragile seedlings. Do not drown your seeds. You seedling Alien Mints needs care and gentle light. The recommended light cycle for growing Alien Mints is 18/6 or 20/4 Cycle for the first cycle, which should last .

The next is the Vegetative Phase. The Alien Mints will focus entirely on size and structural integity. The temperature needs also change for phase 2. If a target temperature of 70°F – 78°F (21°C – 25°C) is maintained and a target humidity of 50% – 55% is achieved, the Hybrid will grow stems, branches and plenty of large fan leaves. This Alien Cookies x Kush Mints (sometimes Alien OG x Kush Mints) is trying to build it's own solar panel of leaves to absorb energy. It is critical to maintain a proper light cycle of 12/12 Cycle for the entire phase 2 schedule. This consistent energy will help plant grow bigger without producing flowers, focusing it's energy on growing tall and strong. Alien Mints is at it's most resilient and may grow quickly. As phase 2 comes to an end, it may be topped or tied down, as it's training suitability is considered High (Responds well to Topping, LST, and SCROG).

The most exciting phase, when growing Alien Cookies x Kush Mints (sometimes Alien OG x Kush Mints) is the Flowering Phase. The plants adulthood lasts . It is at this phase that the light cycle changes for the last time. Alien Mints will produce the most flowers when the light cycle is 12/12 Cycle. Keep the temperature and humity controlled at 65°F – 75°F (18°C – 24°C) and 40% – 45% (Crucial for mold prevention in dense buds) so you can really watch this plant strecth and almost double in height. It will want to start producing early into the flowering process.

You will know the Alien Mints is ready when the white hairs (pistils) turn amber/brown and the resin glands (trichomes) look milky or cloudy, rather than clear. Cutting the plant down even a week too early can significantly reduce the potency and weight of your harvest. Patience in the flowering phase will provide the best possible outomce of Hybrid with a desired gorwth profile that will be:
Dense, resinous "Cookies" structure; sturdy but may need support

Growers Notes: Hobby Grower’s Field Notes
The "Stretch" Factor: Be prepared for a significant vertical jump once you switch to a 12/12 light cycle. Implementing a SCROG (Screen of Green) net during late veg will help manage the canopy height and ensure even light distribution to the lower nodes.

Nutrient Sensitivity: Alien Mints is known for its appetite for Calcium and Magnesium. If you see "rust spots" on older fan leaves, increase your Cal-Mag dosage immediately. Avoid heavy Nitrogen feeding after the third week of flowering to preserve the delicate minty terpene profile.

Airflow is Non-Negotiable: Because the buds become incredibly dense and resinous in the final 3 weeks, you must maintain high airflow with oscillating fans. Humidity spikes above 50% in late flower carry a high risk of Botrytis (Bud Rot).

Harvest Timing: For the "Alien" experience (more cerebral/trippy), harvest when trichomes are mostly cloudy. For a "Mints" experience (sedative/couch-lock), wait for 10–15% amber trichomes.
Lineage: Alien Cookies (Capulator) x Kush Mints (Seed Junky)
Breeder: AlienLabs / Seed Junky Genetics / Capulator
Primary Terpenes: Limonene, Caryophyllene, Myrcene
