Future #1
Sativa-dominant Hybrid
30% – 37% (Extremely High)

Future #1 or Sativa-dominant Hybrid is a strain that typically contains THC levels between 30% – 37% (Extremely High) and CBD levels ranging from < 1%. Known for its Intense Pineapple, Mango, and Citrus with an earthy finish profile, this strain has a growth expectation of being Tall (Indoor: 110cm–130cm / Outdoor: Up to 250cm) in height, with a nutrient demand that is High; requires heavy Cal-Mag and Silica to support resin weight.
This Sativa-dominant Hybrid is of the Genetype: ~70% Sativa / 30% Indica. The Future #1 strain has 3 phases of the growing cycle.
The first phase is the Seedling Phase. Once you have decided to grow Future #1 in either soil or hydroponiclay, the ph levels need to be monitored. The ph level desired by Sativa-dominant Hybrid is 6.3 – 6.8 and 5.7 – 6.1 hydroponically. During this infancy stage, Future #1 needs to maintain a target temperature of 77°F – 82°F (25°C – 28°C) for 2 to 3 weeks. Once the seed germinates, it will sprout it's first set of round leaves, or the cotyledons. If you are able to maintain the target humidity of 65% – 70% RH, the iconic serrated leaves will just begin to show themselves. During this critical Phase 1 of the Sativa-dominant Hybrid growing cycle the plant is establishing a strong root sytem. Beginners often over water these fragile seedlings. Do not drown your seeds. You seedling Future #1 needs care and gentle light. The recommended light cycle for growing Future #1 is 18/6 for the first cycle, which should last .
The next is the Vegetative Phase. The Future #1 will focus entirely on size and structural integity. The temperature needs also change for phase 2. If a target temperature of 72°F – 78°F (22°C – 25°C) is maintained and a target humidity of 45% – 50% RH is achieved, the Sativa-dominant Hybrid will grow stems, branches and plenty of large fan leaves. This ~70% Sativa / 30% Indica is trying to build it's own solar panel of leaves to absorb energy. It is critical to maintain a proper light cycle of 12/12 for the entire phase 2 schedule. This consistent energy will help plant grow bigger without producing flowers, focusing it's energy on growing tall and strong. Future #1 is at it's most resilient and may grow quickly. As phase 2 comes to an end, it may be topped or tied down, as it's training suitability is considered Excellent; Responds well to Topping, FIMing, and SCROG.
The most exciting phase, when growing ~70% Sativa / 30% Indica is the Flowering Phase. The plants adulthood lasts . It is at this phase that the light cycle changes for the last time. Future #1 will produce the most flowers when the light cycle is 12/12. Keep the temperature and humity controlled at 68°F – 72°F (20°C – 22°C) and 35% – 40% RH (Dense buds are prone to rot) so you can really watch this plant strecth and almost double in height. It will want to start producing early into the flowering process.
You will know the Future #1 is ready when the white hairs (pistils) turn amber/brown and the resin glands (trichomes) look milky or cloudy, rather than clear. Cutting the plant down even a week too early can significantly reduce the potency and weight of your harvest. Patience in the flowering phase will provide the best possible outomce of Sativa-dominant Hybrid with a desired gorwth profile that will be:
Vigorous vertical growth; massive resin production; long lateral branches
Growers Notes: Hobby Grower’s Notes
The Stretch: Future #1 inherits the "stretch" from its GG4 parent. If you have limited vertical space, flip to flower when the plant is at 40% of your desired final height. Use a SCROG (Screen of Green) to keep the canopy level.
Light Sensitivity: This strain thrives under high-intensity light (LED or HPS). To hit those 30%+ THC marks, you need to push the PAR levels, but watch for light burn on the tips during the last three weeks.
The "Stick" Factor: The resin production is genuinely absurd. Make sure you have high-quality trimming scissors and plenty of isopropyl alcohol on hand for harvest day—you'll need it every 15 minutes.
Odor Control: This is not a "stealth" strain. Even in the vegetative stage, it has a noticeable scent. By mid-flower, a fresh carbon filter is mandatory for indoor hobbyists.
