Moon Fog
Indica-dominant Hybrid (approx. 70%–90% Indica)
Very High: 25% – 30%

Moon Fog or Indica-dominant Hybrid (approx. 70%–90% Indica) is a strain that typically contains THC levels between Very High: 25% – 30% and CBD levels ranging from Low: < 1%. Known for its Gassy/Fuel, Sweet Cream, Earthy, and Skunky Floral profile, this strain has a growth expectation of being Indoor: 100–120cm in height, with a nutrient demand that is High; specifically requires extra Cal-Mag to prevent deficiencies.
This Indica-dominant Hybrid (approx. 70%–90% Indica) is of the Genetype: Photoperiod, Feminized. The Moon Fog strain has 3 phases of the growing cycle.
The first phase is the Seedling Phase. Once you have decided to grow Moon Fog in either soil or hydroponiclay, the ph levels need to be monitored. The ph level desired by Indica-dominant Hybrid (approx. 70%–90% Indica) is 6.0 – 6.5 and 5.5 – 6.0 hydroponically. During this infancy stage, Moon Fog needs to maintain a target temperature of 74–78°F (23–26°C) for 2 to 3 weeks. Once the seed germinates, it will sprout it's first set of round leaves, or the cotyledons. If you are able to maintain the target humidity of 55–65% (Sensitive to over-saturation/high RH in early veg), the iconic serrated leaves will just begin to show themselves. During this critical Phase 1 of the Indica-dominant Hybrid (approx. 70%–90% Indica) growing cycle the plant is establishing a strong root sytem. Beginners often over water these fragile seedlings. Do not drown your seeds. You seedling Moon Fog needs care and gentle light. The recommended light cycle for growing Moon Fog is 18/6 or 20/4 Cycle for the first cycle, which should last .
The next is the Vegetative Phase. The Moon Fog will focus entirely on size and structural integity. The temperature needs also change for phase 2. If a target temperature of 68–82°F (20–28°C) is maintained and a target humidity of 40–50% (Lower RH is critical due to dense "baseball bat" colas) is achieved, the Indica-dominant Hybrid (approx. 70%–90% Indica) will grow stems, branches and plenty of large fan leaves. This Photoperiod, Feminized is trying to build it's own solar panel of leaves to absorb energy. It is critical to maintain a proper light cycle of 12/12 Cycle for the entire phase 2 schedule. This consistent energy will help plant grow bigger without producing flowers, focusing it's energy on growing tall and strong. Moon Fog is at it's most resilient and may grow quickly. As phase 2 comes to an end, it may be topped or tied down, as it's training suitability is considered High; responds well to Topping and LST to manage its upright nature.
The most exciting phase, when growing Photoperiod, Feminized is the Flowering Phase. The plants adulthood lasts . It is at this phase that the light cycle changes for the last time. Moon Fog will produce the most flowers when the light cycle is Absolute Dark. Keep the temperature and humity controlled at 60°F (15.5°C) and 50–55% so you can really watch this plant strecth and almost double in height. It will want to start producing early into the flowering process.
You will know the Moon Fog is ready when the white hairs (pistils) turn amber/brown and the resin glands (trichomes) look milky or cloudy, rather than clear. Cutting the plant down even a week too early can significantly reduce the potency and weight of your harvest. Patience in the flowering phase will provide the best possible outomce of Indica-dominant Hybrid (approx. 70%–90% Indica) with a desired gorwth profile that will be:
Upright, sturdy, with tight internodes and "stacking" flower structure
Growers Notes: Hobby Grower’s Detailed Notes
Germination Caution: Humboldt Seed Co. genetics are often bred for resilience in drier conditions. Avoid "pre-soaking" seeds in water for too long. Use a moist (not soaking) paper towel or direct-sow into a well-aerated medium to prevent damping off.
The OG "Fussiness": Like many OG-descendants, Moon Fog can be slightly finicky. It loves extra Calcium and Magnesium, especially during the transition to flower. This helps prevent PM (Powdery Mildew) and supports the massive "expansion" of the buds during the swelling phase.
The Stretch & Stacking: Expect a decent upright stretch. Because it stacks buds so heavily (even on lower sites), a thorough defoliation (lollipop) around week 3 of flower will significantly increase the quality of your harvest.
Environment: While it is resilient, it prefers a Mediterranean-style climate (warm and arid). If you are in a high-humidity area, prioritize high-volume airflow; those dense "baseball bat" colas are beautiful but can trap moisture if the air is stagnant.
