Permanent Marker
Indica-dominant Hybrid (approx. 70/30)
25% – 34% (Highly Potent)

Permanent Marker or Indica-dominant Hybrid (approx. 70/30) is a strain that typically contains THC levels between 25% – 34% (Highly Potent) and CBD levels ranging from < 1% (Minimal). Known for its Gassy, Sweet, Floral, and "Chemical/Soap" profile, this strain has a growth expectation of being 80–170 cm (Indoor); Up to 250+ cm (Outdoor) in height, with a nutrient demand that is Heavy (particularly P/K during bloom); prone to "clawing" with excess Nitrogen..
This Indica-dominant Hybrid (approx. 70/30) is of the Genetype: (Biscotti x Sherb Bx) x Jealousy. The Permanent Marker strain has 3 phases of the growing cycle.
The first phase is the Seedling Phase. Once you have decided to grow Permanent Marker in either soil or hydroponiclay, the ph levels need to be monitored. The ph level desired by Indica-dominant Hybrid (approx. 70/30) is 6.0 – 6.5 and 5.8 – 6.2 hydroponically. During this infancy stage, Permanent Marker needs to maintain a target temperature of 70–80°F (21–27°C) for 2 to 3 weeks. Once the seed germinates, it will sprout it's first set of round leaves, or the cotyledons. If you are able to maintain the target humidity of 50% – 60%, the iconic serrated leaves will just begin to show themselves. During this critical Phase 1 of the Indica-dominant Hybrid (approx. 70/30) growing cycle the plant is establishing a strong root sytem. Beginners often over water these fragile seedlings. Do not drown your seeds. You seedling Permanent Marker needs care and gentle light. The recommended light cycle for growing Permanent Marker is 18/6 (Standard Photoperiod) for the first cycle, which should last .
The next is the Vegetative Phase. The Permanent Marker will focus entirely on size and structural integity. The temperature needs also change for phase 2. If a target temperature of 72–78°F (22–26°C) is maintained and a target humidity of 45% – 50% is achieved, the Indica-dominant Hybrid (approx. 70/30) will grow stems, branches and plenty of large fan leaves. This (Biscotti x Sherb Bx) x Jealousy is trying to build it's own solar panel of leaves to absorb energy. It is critical to maintain a proper light cycle of 12/12 for the entire phase 2 schedule. This consistent energy will help plant grow bigger without producing flowers, focusing it's energy on growing tall and strong. Permanent Marker is at it's most resilient and may grow quickly. As phase 2 comes to an end, it may be topped or tied down, as it's training suitability is considered High; Responds exceptionally well to Topping, SCROG, and LST..
The most exciting phase, when growing (Biscotti x Sherb Bx) x Jealousy is the Flowering Phase. The plants adulthood lasts . It is at this phase that the light cycle changes for the last time. Permanent Marker will produce the most flowers when the light cycle is 12/12. Keep the temperature and humity controlled at 65–72°F (18–22°C) (Lower nights to 60°F for purple hues) and < 45% (Crucial to prevent mold in dense buds) so you can really watch this plant strecth and almost double in height. It will want to start producing early into the flowering process.
You will know the Permanent Marker is ready when the white hairs (pistils) turn amber/brown and the resin glands (trichomes) look milky or cloudy, rather than clear. Cutting the plant down even a week too early can significantly reduce the potency and weight of your harvest. Patience in the flowering phase will provide the best possible outomce of Indica-dominant Hybrid (approx. 70/30) with a desired gorwth profile that will be:
Vigorous hybrid stretch; thick stalks and dense, golf-ball-sized buds.
Growers Notes: Hobby Grower’s StrategyThe "Purple" Trigger: In the final 2 weeks of flowering, dropping your night-time temperatures to $15^\circ\text{C}$ to $18^\circ\text{C}$ ($60^\circ\text{F}$ to $65^\circ\text{F}$) will trigger the anthocyanins, turning the lime-green leaves into deep shades of purple and black.Airflow is Non-Negotiable: Because the buds are so dense and resinous, they are magnets for bud rot (botrytis). Keep multiple oscillating fans at different heights.Bulking Phase: Aim for a "PK Spike" around week 6 of flower. A $0\text{-}20\text{-}20$ nutrient ratio during this window helps the calyxes swell significantly.
