Strawberry Afterglow
Indica-Dominant Hybrid (approx. 70/30 or 100% Indica leaning)
26% – 36% (Testing very high in 2024-2026 batches)

Strawberry Afterglow or Indica-Dominant Hybrid (approx. 70/30 or 100% Indica leaning) is a strain that typically contains THC levels between 26% – 36% (Testing very high in 2024-2026 batches) and CBD levels ranging from < 1% (Minimal). Known for its Sweet, Earthy, Strawberry, Creamy profile, this strain has a growth expectation of being Medium/Short (Bushy with dense nodal spacing) in height, with a nutrient demand that is Moderate to Heavy; likes Calcium/Magnesium during mid-flower.
This Indica-Dominant Hybrid (approx. 70/30 or 100% Indica leaning) is of the Genetype: Strawberry x (Mendo Breath x Unknown Hybrid). The Strawberry Afterglow strain has 3 phases of the growing cycle.
The first phase is the Seedling Phase. Once you have decided to grow Strawberry Afterglow in either soil or hydroponiclay, the ph levels need to be monitored. The ph level desired by Indica-Dominant Hybrid (approx. 70/30 or 100% Indica leaning) is 6.2 – 6.8 and 5.5 – 6.0 hydroponically. During this infancy stage, Strawberry Afterglow needs to maintain a target temperature of 75°F – 85°F (24°C – 29°C) for 2 to 3 weeks. Once the seed germinates, it will sprout it's first set of round leaves, or the cotyledons. If you are able to maintain the target humidity of 60% – 70%, the iconic serrated leaves will just begin to show themselves. During this critical Phase 1 of the Indica-Dominant Hybrid (approx. 70/30 or 100% Indica leaning) growing cycle the plant is establishing a strong root sytem. Beginners often over water these fragile seedlings. Do not drown your seeds. You seedling Strawberry Afterglow needs care and gentle light. The recommended light cycle for growing Strawberry Afterglow is 18/6 or 20/4 (Standard LED cycles) for the first cycle, which should last .
The next is the Vegetative Phase. The Strawberry Afterglow will focus entirely on size and structural integity. The temperature needs also change for phase 2. If a target temperature of 72°F – 78°F (22°C – 25°C) is maintained and a target humidity of 50% – 55% is achieved, the Indica-Dominant Hybrid (approx. 70/30 or 100% Indica leaning) will grow stems, branches and plenty of large fan leaves. This Strawberry x (Mendo Breath x Unknown Hybrid) is trying to build it's own solar panel of leaves to absorb energy. It is critical to maintain a proper light cycle of 12/12 for the entire phase 2 schedule. This consistent energy will help plant grow bigger without producing flowers, focusing it's energy on growing tall and strong. Strawberry Afterglow is at it's most resilient and may grow quickly. As phase 2 comes to an end, it may be topped or tied down, as it's training suitability is considered High; responds well to LST, Topping, and Scrog.
The most exciting phase, when growing Strawberry x (Mendo Breath x Unknown Hybrid) is the Flowering Phase. The plants adulthood lasts . It is at this phase that the light cycle changes for the last time. Strawberry Afterglow will produce the most flowers when the light cycle is 12/12. Keep the temperature and humity controlled at 68°F – 74°F (20°C – 23°C) (Lower temps bring out color) and 40% – 45% (Crucial for dense bud rot prevention) so you can really watch this plant strecth and almost double in height. It will want to start producing early into the flowering process.
You will know the Strawberry Afterglow is ready when the white hairs (pistils) turn amber/brown and the resin glands (trichomes) look milky or cloudy, rather than clear. Cutting the plant down even a week too early can significantly reduce the potency and weight of your harvest. Patience in the flowering phase will provide the best possible outomce of Indica-Dominant Hybrid (approx. 70/30 or 100% Indica leaning) with a desired gorwth profile that will be:
Broad fan leaves, stocky structure, high resin production
Growers Notes: Hobby Grower’s Notes
VPD Management: Due to its Mendo Breath lineage, this strain produces exceptionally dense, rock-hard buds. Keep a close eye on your Vapor Pressure Deficit (VPD) in late flower. If humidity spikes above 50% in the final 3 weeks, you are at high risk for botrytis (bud rot) inside the main colas.
Aesthetic Potential: To bring out the "Afterglow" (purples and deep pinks), drop your nighttime temperatures by 10-15 degrees during the final 14 days of flush.
Training: Because it grows stocky, "lollipoping" (removing the lower third of growth) is highly recommended to ensure airflow and focus energy on the top canopy.
Lineage: Mendo Breath x Strawberry
Breeder: Ozone (Ascend Wellness)
Primary Terpenes: Limonene, Beta-Caryophyllene, Myrcene
