Sweet and Sour Widow
Indica-dominant Hybrid (70% Indica / 30% Sativa)
5% – 11%

Sweet and Sour Widow or Indica-dominant Hybrid (70% Indica / 30% Sativa) is a strain that typically contains THC levels between 5% – 11% and CBD levels ranging from 5% – 11% (Strictly 1:1 Ratio). Known for its Sour Onion, Woody, Spicy, and Honey-Sweet profile, this strain has a growth expectation of being Medium (80cm – 140cm indoors; up to 150cm+ outdoors) in height, with a nutrient demand that is Moderate (Standard feeding; EC 0.8 in Veg, up to 1.8 in Bloom).
This Indica-dominant Hybrid (70% Indica / 30% Sativa) is of the Genetype: Photoperiod (Feminized and Regular available). The Sweet and Sour Widow strain has 3 phases of the growing cycle.
The first phase is the Seedling Phase. Once you have decided to grow Sweet and Sour Widow in either soil or hydroponiclay, the ph levels need to be monitored. The ph level desired by Indica-dominant Hybrid (70% Indica / 30% Sativa) is 6.2 – 6.8 and 5.8 – 6.2 hydroponically. During this infancy stage, Sweet and Sour Widow needs to maintain a target temperature of 72°F – 80°F (22°C – 27°C) for 2 to 3 weeks. Once the seed germinates, it will sprout it's first set of round leaves, or the cotyledons. If you are able to maintain the target humidity of 60% – 70%, the iconic serrated leaves will just begin to show themselves. During this critical Phase 1 of the Indica-dominant Hybrid (70% Indica / 30% Sativa) growing cycle the plant is establishing a strong root sytem. Beginners often over water these fragile seedlings. Do not drown your seeds. You seedling Sweet and Sour Widow needs care and gentle light. The recommended light cycle for growing Sweet and Sour Widow is 18/6 for the first cycle, which should last .
The next is the Vegetative Phase. The Sweet and Sour Widow will focus entirely on size and structural integity. The temperature needs also change for phase 2. If a target temperature of 70°F – 78°F (21°C – 25°C) is maintained and a target humidity of 50% – 55% is achieved, the Indica-dominant Hybrid (70% Indica / 30% Sativa) will grow stems, branches and plenty of large fan leaves. This Photoperiod (Feminized and Regular available) is trying to build it's own solar panel of leaves to absorb energy. It is critical to maintain a proper light cycle of 12/12 for the entire phase 2 schedule. This consistent energy will help plant grow bigger without producing flowers, focusing it's energy on growing tall and strong. Sweet and Sour Widow is at it's most resilient and may grow quickly. As phase 2 comes to an end, it may be topped or tied down, as it's training suitability is considered High (Responds well to Topping, LST, and SCROG).
The most exciting phase, when growing Photoperiod (Feminized and Regular available) is the Flowering Phase. The plants adulthood lasts . It is at this phase that the light cycle changes for the last time. Sweet and Sour Widow will produce the most flowers when the light cycle is 12/12. Keep the temperature and humity controlled at 65°F – 75°F (18°C – 24°C) and 40% – 45% so you can really watch this plant strecth and almost double in height. It will want to start producing early into the flowering process.
You will know the Sweet and Sour Widow is ready when the white hairs (pistils) turn amber/brown and the resin glands (trichomes) look milky or cloudy, rather than clear. Cutting the plant down even a week too early can significantly reduce the potency and weight of your harvest. Patience in the flowering phase will provide the best possible outomce of Indica-dominant Hybrid (70% Indica / 30% Sativa) with a desired gorwth profile that will be:
Vigorous vegetative growth; produces airy, highly resinous clusters
Growers Notes: Hobby Grower’s Notes
The "Airy" Advantage: Unlike the original White Widow, which has rock-hard, dense buds, this strain produces slightly more "airy" flower clusters. This is a deliberate genetic trait that provides excellent airflow through the colas, making it highly resistant to Bud Rot (Botrytis) and Powdery Mildew.
Veg Management: It grows very vigorously during the vegetative stage. To maximize your 400g/m² yield, use a SCROG (Screen of Green) to create an even canopy, as it has a moderate stretch once the lights flip.
The Scent: Be prepared for a unique "funk." While many strains smell like fruit or fuel, this one has a distinct sour onion and savory profile that becomes very pungent in the final three weeks of flowering.
Harvest Window: For the best 1:1 medicinal effect, harvest when trichomes are mostly milky with only a few amber (typically around 8–9 weeks). Waiting too long for heavy amber may increase the sedative "couch-lock" beyond the intended balanced effect.
Lineage: White Widow x Unknown CBD-rich parent

Primary Terpenes: Myrcene, Caryophyllene, Limonene
