VelcroZ
Balanced Hybrid (50/50 or slightly Indica-leaning)
26% – 32% (Extreme Potency)

VelcroZ or Balanced Hybrid (50/50 or slightly Indica-leaning) is a strain that typically contains THC levels between 26% – 32% (Extreme Potency) and CBD levels ranging from 0% – 1%. Known for its Sweet Candy, Gassy Fuel, Pine, and Earthy profile, this strain has a growth expectation of being Medium (Indoor: 3–5 ft in height, with a nutrient demand that is High; heavy feeder during peak flower (Weeks 4–6).
This Balanced Hybrid (50/50 or slightly Indica-leaning) is of the Genetype: Blue Flame OG x Blue Zushi. The VelcroZ strain has 3 phases of the growing cycle.
The first phase is the Seedling Phase. Once you have decided to grow VelcroZ in either soil or hydroponiclay, the ph levels need to be monitored. The ph level desired by Balanced Hybrid (50/50 or slightly Indica-leaning) is 6.2 – 6.8 and 5.8 – 6.2 hydroponically. During this infancy stage, VelcroZ needs to maintain a target temperature of 72°F – 82°F for 2 to 3 weeks. Once the seed germinates, it will sprout it's first set of round leaves, or the cotyledons. If you are able to maintain the target humidity of 60% – 70% RH, the iconic serrated leaves will just begin to show themselves. During this critical Phase 1 of the Balanced Hybrid (50/50 or slightly Indica-leaning) growing cycle the plant is establishing a strong root sytem. Beginners often over water these fragile seedlings. Do not drown your seeds. You seedling VelcroZ needs care and gentle light. The recommended light cycle for growing VelcroZ is 18/6 Cycle for the first cycle, which should last .
The next is the Vegetative Phase. The VelcroZ will focus entirely on size and structural integity. The temperature needs also change for phase 2. If a target temperature of 70°F – 80°F is maintained and a target humidity of 50% – 55% RH is achieved, the Balanced Hybrid (50/50 or slightly Indica-leaning) will grow stems, branches and plenty of large fan leaves. This Blue Flame OG x Blue Zushi is trying to build it's own solar panel of leaves to absorb energy. It is critical to maintain a proper light cycle of 12/12 Cycle for the entire phase 2 schedule. This consistent energy will help plant grow bigger without producing flowers, focusing it's energy on growing tall and strong. VelcroZ is at it's most resilient and may grow quickly. As phase 2 comes to an end, it may be topped or tied down, as it's training suitability is considered High; responds well to topping and multi-tier scrogging.
The most exciting phase, when growing Blue Flame OG x Blue Zushi is the Flowering Phase. The plants adulthood lasts . It is at this phase that the light cycle changes for the last time. VelcroZ will produce the most flowers when the light cycle is 12/12 Cycle. Keep the temperature and humity controlled at 65°F – 75°F and 40% – 45% RH so you can really watch this plant strecth and almost double in height. It will want to start producing early into the flowering process.
You will know the VelcroZ is ready when the white hairs (pistils) turn amber/brown and the resin glands (trichomes) look milky or cloudy, rather than clear. Cutting the plant down even a week too early can significantly reduce the potency and weight of your harvest. Patience in the flowering phase will provide the best possible outomce of Balanced Hybrid (50/50 or slightly Indica-leaning) with a desired gorwth profile that will be:
Dense, resin-coated buds; significant "stretch" in first 3 weeks of flower.
Growers Notes: Hobby Grower’s Notes
Resin Management: This strain is named "VelcroZ" for a reason—the resin is exceptionally tacky. When trimming or training, expect to clean your tools frequently. High trichome density makes this an elite choice for solventless extraction (Live Rosin).
The "Stretch": Because of the Blue Flame OG lineage, expect this plant to nearly double in size during the transition to flower. Ensure you flip to the 12/12 light cycle when the plant is roughly half the height of your available vertical space.
Airflow & Humidity: The buds are incredibly dense. In Phase 3 (Late Flower), keeping humidity below 45% is critical to prevent "bud rot" (Botrytis) from forming near the stem.
Terpene Preservation: To maximize the "Z" (Blue Zushi) candy notes, keep your late-stage temperatures (Phase 3) on the cooler side. Excessive heat in the final 14 days will cook off the delicate Limonene and Linalool that give it its signature sweet profile
Lineage: Blue Flame OG x Blue Zushi
Breeder: RYTHM (Green Thumb Industries)
Primary Terpenes: Limonene, Beta-Caryophyllene, Myrcene, Linalool
